Drifting Home

During a summer break, childhood friends Kosuke and Natsume along with a group of other students visit an apartment complex scheduled for demolition. While exploring the building, a strange phenomenon occurs, transporting the structure and the children into the middle of a vast ocean. As the building drifts away, the group must find a way to return to their own world.

This Japanese animated adventure was directed by Hiroyasu Ishida, who previously directed Rain Town in 2011 and Penguin Highway in 2018. The screenplay was written by Ishida and Hayashi Mori, with production handled by Studio Colorido and Twin Engine. The voice cast features Mutsumi Tamura as Kosuke, Asami Seto as Natsume, and Ayumu Murase as Noppo, alongside Daiki Yamashita, Yumiko Kobayashi, and Inori Minase.
