Tattooed Life

A professional hit man is forced into exile with his younger brother after his own criminal organization frames him for the murder of a rival mobster. The two flee to Manchuria to find work on a construction site, but they are eventually tracked down by the yakuza. To survive, the brothers must fight back against those pursuing them.

Released in 1965, this Japanese crime thriller was produced by Nikkatsu Corporation and written by Kinya Naoi and Kei Hattori. Directed by Seijun Suzuki, the film is the 20th of 26 films he directed, following Story of a Prostitute and preceding Tokyo Drifter. The movie stars Hideki Takahashi as Murakami Tetsutaro and Kotobuki Hananomoto as Murakami Kenji, supported by a credited cast of 30 actors including Masako Izumi, Akira Yamanouchi, Yuji Odaka, and Hiroko Ito.
