Blue Giant

Dai Miyamoto is a high school student in Sendai who plays basketball, works a part-time job, and lives with his father and younger sister. What he lacks is a direction, until he attends a jazz performance and it changes everything. He takes up the saxophone and practices constantly, determined to become a great jazz musician, even though those around him find the ambition unusual.

His pursuit takes him from his hometown to Tokyo, where he works toward a professional career alongside his friend Shunji, who takes up the drums, and the pianist Yukinori. Together they form a trio and aim for the most famous jazz club in Japan.
