Arcadia

Katerina, a neurologist, and Yannis, a former physician, travel to a desolate coastal resort during a windy autumn. Their trip is prompted by a grim task: Yannis must identify the victim of a fatal car accident at a small-town hospital. After a local officer explains that the vehicle fell from a stone bridge, Katerina finds her fears confirmed at the morgue. The pair begins to uncover a narrative of loss and love, with Katerina also making solo nightly visits to a rustic beach bar known as Arcadia to piece together the truth.

Directed by Yorgos Zois, this drama and mystery is the second film in his career following Interruption. The screenplay was written by Zois and Konstantina Kotzamani. The movie was a joint production between companies from Bulgaria, Greece, and the United States, including Two & Two Pictures and Homemade Films. The main cast features Vangelis Mourikis as Yannis and Angeliki Papoulia as Katerina, supported by Elena Topalidou, Nikolas Papagiannis, Vagelis Evangelinos, and Asteris Rimagmos.
