Milk Money
Short description
Three twelve-year-old boys from the suburbs pool their savings and travel into the city hoping to see a naked woman. They find V, a prostitute with a generous streak, who obliges them and then offers to drive them home when their bikes are stolen. Their troubles are not over: a mobster named Waltzer is pursuing V, and when her car breaks down outside the house of Frank's widowed father, she takes shelter in the suburbs. Frank, whose mother has died, becomes convinced she would make an ideal wife for his father Tom, a man who has no idea what V does for a living.
Richard Benjamin directed this 1994 comedy drama from a screenplay by John Mattson, with Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall producing. It was Benjamin's ninth feature as director, arriving between Made in America and Mrs. Winterbourne. Melanie Griffith plays V, Ed Harris is Tom, Michael Patrick Carter is Frank and Malcolm McDowell appears as Waltzer, with Anne Heche and Casey Siemaszko also credited among a cast of 45 and a crew of 86.
Milk Money earned about 18 million dollars worldwide. Reception split along audience lines: on IMDb it holds 5.7 from roughly 14,000 votes and on TMDB 6.5 from a far smaller group of 323, while a critics' rating stands at 3.5 from 42 reviews, well below what general viewers gave it.

- The role of Frank Wheeler could have gone to Jonathan Jackson, who remained one of the two main contenders for it until the very last moment.
