Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween

Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween takes place in Shibuya, Tokyo, during the Halloween season, where a wedding at the Shibuya Hikarie is interrupted by an attacker. Detective Wataru Takagi is hurt while shielding his bride-to-be, Detective Miwako Sato, and the incident stirs in her the memory of the grim reaper she saw when her former love, Detective Jinpei Matsuda, died in a bombing three years earlier. Around the same time, the bomber responsible for that death escapes from prison. Rei Furuya, who knew Matsuda at the police academy, pursues the fugitive, only to have a collar bomb fastened on him by a disguised figure. As Conan and his companions investigate, the case grows more dangerous.

The film is an entry in the long-running Detective Conan anime series and was directed by Susumu Mitsunaka, whose earlier theatrical work consisted of four Haikyu!! compilation films. His first Conan film came in 2022, before he returned to Haikyu!! for later features. Takahiro Okura wrote the screenplay, and the voice cast includes Minami Takayama as Conan, Kappei Yamaguchi as Shinichi Kudo, Wakana Yamazaki as Ran Mouri, Rikiya Koyama as Kogoro Mouri and Toru Furuya as Rei Furuya. Released in April 2022, it grossed about 73 million dollars worldwide. On TMDB it holds a rating of 6.4 out of 10 from 118 votes.
