A young girl struggling with insomnia feels overshadowed by her mother's deep affection for a dog named Marcel. The mother is a performer who shares a close bond with the animal. After a sudden event leads to the loss of the dog, the woman and her daughter find a way to bridge the emotional distance between them and strengthen their relationship.
