What's left behind the scenes
- In mid-2024, a more detailed version of the film was released, titled "Rebel Moon, Part 2: The Scargiver." This version received an "R" rating (assigned to films containing material intended for adult audiences only), as did the director's cut released shortly before it, titled "Rebel Moon, Part 1: A Child of Fire." Audiences received this version with greater enthusiasm than the original.
- Director and screenwriter Zack Snyder spoke about a lengthy scene in which the heroic characters played by Sofia Boutella and Michiel Huisman discuss the reasons for their fighting. Originally, this scene was intended for use in the "Justice League" franchise, where positive heroes and antagonists were supposed to talk about their own pasts before going into the final battle with the forces of darkness.
