57 Seconds

Franklin Fox is a technology blogger who manages to secure an interview with Anton Burrell, a visionary entrepreneur known for his success in the medical field. When an attempt on Burrell's life is stopped, Franklin picks up a mysterious ring the guru dropped, and it turns out the jewellery lets its wearer travel 57 seconds into the past. Franklin decides to put the ring to use, driven by a desire to take revenge on those he holds responsible for his sister's death.

The film is directed by Rusty Cundieff, who wrote the screenplay with Macon Blair. It is the third feature Cundieff directed, following Tales from the Hood in 1995 and Movie 43 in 2013, and it was released in 2023. Josh Hutcherson plays Franklin, with Morgan Freeman as Anton Burrell, Lovie Simone as Jala, Greg Germann as Sig Thorenson, Bevin Bru as Renee Renzler and Sammi Rotibi as Calvert. The production involved 30 credited cast members and 68 credited crew members, and it was made across the United States and the Czech Republic.

On IMDb the film holds a rating of 5.4 from roughly 13,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.2 from around 700 votes, suggesting a modest reception from a relatively small audience. Its worldwide box office came to about 1 million dollars.
