Blue's Big City Adventure

Josh and his puppy Blue travel to New York City so that Josh can try out for a Broadway musical being put together by Rainbow Puppy. It is their first trip to the city, and along the way they meet new people and get a taste of music and dance while chasing a dream. Steve and Joe, who hosted the earlier versions of the show, also appear.

The film is directed by Matt Stawski and written by Angela Santomero, who produced it with Traci Paige Johnson. Joshua Dela Cruz plays Josh, with Steve Burns and Donovan Patton returning as Steve and Joe, Traci Paige Johnson voicing Blue, and BD Wong as a director. Live action and animation are blended, and the story is a feature-length extension of the children's television series, with 41 credited cast members. It runs 74 minutes.

Released in November 2022, the film came roughly a quarter of a century after the series first reached television, and it belongs to the later stretch of Matt Stawski's directing work. On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.3 from 919 votes, while on TMDB it scores 7.1 from 114 votes, so viewers there are somewhat more positive than those on IMDb, though both point to a modestly received family film.
