Endurance

This documentary follows a team of explorers who locate the wreck of the Endurance, a ship belonging to Ernest Shackleton that sank beneath the ice. The film combines the discovery of the vessel with the account of the crew's struggle to survive.

The film was directed by Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi, Jimmy Chin, and Natalie Hewit. For Vasarhelyi and Chin, this project followed their work on Free Solo, The Rescue, Return to Space, NYAD, and Wild Life, and preceded Lost in the Jungle and Everest: The Other Side. Natalie Hewit served as both a director and a producer. The production was a collaboration between companies from the United Kingdom and the United States, including Little Monster Films and History Hit.

The cast features Mensun Bound, John Shears, Nicolas Vincent, and Dan Snow appearing as themselves, while archive footage is used to include Ernest Shackleton and Frank Worsley.
