The Adventures of Ford Fairlane

Ford Fairlane works as a private investigator in Los Angeles whose clients come from the music business, which has earned him the nickname "Mr. Rock 'n' Roll Detective." When a heavy metal star dies during a performance, Fairlane takes on the case. Around the same time, a radio host he knows asks him to track down a missing woman named Zuzu Petals, and the people connected to her start turning up dead. More clients bring him the same request, and the investigation pulls him deeper into the case than he expected.

Renny Harlin directed the film, the fifth of the twenty-eight features he has made in chronological order, following Die Hard 2 the same year and preceding Cliffhanger in 1993. The screenplay is credited to Daniel Waters, James Cappe and David Arnott, with Joel Silver and Steve Perry producing. Andrew Dice Clay plays Ford Fairlane, alongside Wayne Newton, Priscilla Presley, Morris Day, Lauren Holly and Ed O'Neill. Fifty-five cast members and 157 crew members are credited.
