Short description

Mason Storm, a 'go it alone' cop, is gunned down at home. The intruders kill his wife, and think they've killed both Mason and his son too. Mason is secretly taken to a hospital where he spends several years in a coma. His son meanwhile is growing up thinking his father is dead. When Mason wakes up, everyone is in danger - himself, his son, his best friend, his nurse - but most of all those who arranged for his death

What's left behind the scenes

  • Warner Bros. demanded significant revisions to the already edited film and reduce its duration to 90 minutes, to make the film less intricate but more packed with action scenes. Other films featuring Steven Seagal underwent similar editing – entire scenes and plotlines were cut after final editing. As a result of such editing, inconsistencies appeared in the films.
  • The first film where Steven Seagal wears his hair in a ponytail, which would later become his signature style.
  • Steven Seagal offered the director's chair to Craig R. Baxley. Baxley declined, as he did not want to work with Seagal.
  • At the 66th minute, the heroes are driving in a jeep whose license plate appears on both the left and right sides, and the driver is sometimes on the left and sometimes on the right.
  • Warner Bros. demanded significant edits to the already assembled film and requested its duration be cut to 90 minutes to make the movie less complex and more action-packed. Other Steven Seagal films from the company underwent similar edits—entire scenes and plotlines were cut after the final edit. As a result of such editing, inconsistencies appeared in the films.
  • The first film in which Steven Seagal ties his hair back in a ponytail, which would later become his signature look.
  • Steven Seagal offered the director's chair to Craig R. Baxley. Baxley refused because he did not want to work with Seagal.
