Marguerite's Theorem

Marguerite is a gifted mathematics student and the only woman in her program at the Ecole Normale Supérieure. Her structured life is thrown into chaos when a significant error is discovered in her thesis during a presentation to researchers. Devastated by this failure, she abandons her academic career to start over. As she navigates the challenges of daily life, employment, and new friendships, she learns to balance her passion for calculations with human relationships while attempting to solve a complex theorem.

This French and Swiss production was directed by Anna Novion, who also co-wrote the screenplay. The film stars Ella Rumpf in the title role, alongside Julien Frison, Jean-Pierre Darroussin, and Sonia Bonny. With a budget of 2 million USD, the movie earned 1 million USD at the worldwide box office.
