The Baby

After his son and his partner die in a car accident, a sixty-year-old man named Joseph seeks to secure the future of his grandchild. The child is being carried by a surrogate mother in Belgium. Driven by the hope that this birth will maintain a connection to his late son, Joseph travels to meet the determined young Flemish woman. The story focuses on the legal and emotional challenges Joseph faces as he attempts to establish his role as the child's grandfather.
