Asterix and the Vikings

Asterix and Obelix are tasked by their chief with turning his nephew, a timid young man from the city, into a brave warrior. Despite various training attempts, the youth remains fearful and reluctant to fight. The situation escalates when Vikings arrive in Gaul and kidnap him, believing that his intense fear will allow him to teach them how to fly. The two heroes must then travel to Norway to rescue the boy from the northern warriors.

The film was co-directed by Stefan Fjeldmark and Jesper Müller. For Fjeldmark, this project followed Hugo, the Jungle Creature and Help! I'm a Fish. It served as the first directorial credit for Müller, who later directed Elli and her Monster Team. The voice cast features Roger Carel as Asterix and Idéfix, Jacques Frantz as Obelix, Lorànt Deutsch as Goudurix, and Sara Forestier as Abba. A total of 37 actors are credited in the cast.

Produced by companies including TPS Star and M6 in Denmark and France, the movie earned 23 million USD at the worldwide box office. Audience reception is moderate, with a 6/10 rating from 14,000 votes on IMDb and a 6.1/10 rating from 775 votes on TMDB.
