A Difficult Year

Albert and Bruno are compulsive shoppers struggling with severe debt. While seeking help for their financial problems, they encounter a group of young environmental activists. Rather than being motivated by ecological ideals, the two men join the movement to take advantage of free food and drinks. As they integrate into the group, they use the various protests and actions to benefit themselves and navigate their own crises.

This French comedy was directed by Éric Toledano and Olivier Nakache, who also wrote the screenplay. This production is the sixth collaboration between the two directors, following The Specials. The film stars Pio Marmaï and Jonathan Cohen as the leads, with Noémie Merlant in a supporting role.
