Striking The Palace

Eva is a twenty-year-old woman who begins working as a chambermaid at a luxury hotel in Paris. Alongside colleagues such as Safietou, Violette, and Simone, she encounters the difficult reality of the service industry, where staff often face poor working conditions and precarious employment through subcontractors. As the women struggle to maintain the hotel's high standards while earning low wages, they form a supportive bond. The conflict peaks during a labor strike against subcontracting, leading the workers to organize their own version of Fashion Week in front of the establishment.

This French comedy was directed by Nessim Chikhaoui, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Hélène Fillières. This project is the second film directed by Chikhaoui, following his 2022 work Placés.
