A police officer in the United States finds a newborn girl abandoned in a cemetery, wrapped in a blanket bearing satanic symbols with an inverted cross around her neck. He raises her as his own daughter. Twenty years later, Hunter travels to Norway on the pretext of attending college elsewhere, having taken a DNA test that points to her biological family in that part of the world. Her search leads her to a heavy metal singer she believes may be her mother, and eventually to a remote island and the truth about her origins. All the while, a malevolent spirit urges her to leave.

Leave is a Norwegian horror thriller directed by Alex Herron, the first of three features he has made, followed by Dark Windows and Don't Hang Up. Thomas Moldestad wrote the screenplay, and Tommy Wirkola, Dave Spilde and Ilana Pinker produced. Alicia von Rittberg plays Hunter White, with Herman Tømmeraas, Ellen Dorrit Petersen, Kalle Hennie, Clarence Smith and Bjørn Hallgeir Myrene among the cast.

Released in October 2022, the film runs 106 minutes and was made for about 2 million USD, a figure its worldwide box office matched. On IMDb it holds a rating of 4.9 from roughly 2,300 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 5.7 from around 90 votes. A critics' rating of 5.5 from five reviews places it close to the audience scores.
