Old Dads

Old Dads follows three lifelong friends who went into business together and became fathers later in life. Jack Kelly, Connor Brody and Mike Richards run a sportswear company, and when they sell it to a young millennial executive, they find themselves trailing behind a culture that no longer works the way they remember. Their new owner seems to take every opportunity to point out how out of touch they are. At the same time, the three men are navigating fatherhood in a world of preschools with their own ideas and staff who wield real authority over the children, plus the expectations of their partners. Feeling dismissed on all sides, they try to prove they can keep up.

The film is a comedy written by Bill Burr and Ben Tishler, and it marks Burr's feature directing debut; he also produced it and stars as Jack. Bobby Cannavale and Bokeem Woodbine play his two friends, with Katie Aselton, Reign Edwards and Jackie Tohn among the cast.

It was released in October 2023 and runs 102 minutes. On IMDb it holds a 6.2 rating from roughly 47,000 votes, and on TMDB it sits at 6.2 from about 495 votes, a narrow gap that suggests a fairly settled reception among viewers. Critics were less convinced: a 4.6 rating from 44 reviews places their response clearly below the audience scores.
