Banel & Adama

Banel & Adama is a drama set in a remote village in northern Senegal. The story follows a young married couple, Banel and Adama, whose deep love for one another clashes with the strict traditions and expectations of their community. As they seek a life together away from family obligations, their relationship is further strained by a local drought and a conflict regarding the acceptance of a new village chief.
