Short description
The evil Decepticons have appeared in Detroit. With the all powerful Allspark, Megatron can use it to turn all of Earth's robots into Decepticons. However, Optimus Prime and his Autobots arrive and plan to stop Megatron and his evil plan in Transformers Animated.

What's left behind the scenes
- More than 20 years have passed since the release of the animated film "The Transformers: The Movie" (1986), and Rodimus Prime is once again voiced by actor Judd Nelson.
- Voice actor David Kaye, who voiced the antagonist Megatron for over 10 years, voices the main character Optimus Prime in this series. As Kaye himself admitted, this came as a complete surprise to him.
- By the end of the series, many plotlines remained unresolved, and several key story elements were left without proper explanation. This was because the episode scripts were not rewritten after it became known that the series would end sooner than planned.
