Short description
Jessica Day is an offbeat and adorable girl in her late 20s who, after a bad breakup, moves in with three single guys. Goofy, positive, vulnerable and honest to a fault, Jess has faith in people, even when she shouldn't. Although she's dorky and awkward, she's comfortable in her own skin. More prone to friendships with women, she's not used to hanging with the boys—especially at home.

What's left behind the scenes
- In the 21st episode, Zooey Deschanel's character mentions the movie 'Bridge to Terabithia', in which the actress appeared.
- The pilot episode outperformed all its time-slot competitors, drawing 10.3 million viewers.
- Before auditioning for the series 'New Girl' (2011-2018), Max Greenfield almost quit acting. His role in the series saved his film career, as the character he played was very similar to the actor himself.
- According to Jake Johnson, he had already been cast in the pilot episode when his manager called to inform him that, per the studio's request, he would need to lose over six kilograms before filming began.
