What's left behind the scenes
- In the Adventure Time pilot short, Finn was named "Pen." In the 9th issue of the official comic, the main character explains this by saying he loved pens and therefore forced everyone to call him that. In reality, "Pen" is a shortened version of the head writer Pendleton Ward's name.
- The Snail is an "Easter egg" character hidden in every episode except for the pilot.
- The main character, Finn the Human, gets older with each new season. While he was 12 in the first season, he is already 16 by the sixth (episode "The Comet").
