Seasons
What's left behind the scenes
- In the first season (which aired under the “Marvel Action Hour” brand), Tony Stark's primary ailment was the problem of shrapnel lodged in his back.
- In the second season, when the creators decided to “reboot” the series and make it closer to the comics, Tony Stark's primary ailment became heart failure. Since the second season was an official part of the Marvel Animated Universe (the world in which all Marvel animated series airing at the time took place), it was this version of Tony Stark that was used during his appearances in “Spider-Man” (1994), “The Incredible Hulk” (1996), and “The Avengers” (1999).
