What's left behind the scenes
- The project's working title is 'Sugarloaf'.
- Michelle Hurd and Klein Crawford had previously appeared together in another series about crime fighters in Florida—'C.S.I.: Miami' (2002).
- Medical graduate student Daniel Green, played by Jordan Wall, who transferred to the forensics lab of the homicide division, was initially conceived as a one-episode character. However, he was so well-liked by the show's creators that they rewrote the script to make him a permanent character in 'The Glades'.
