What's left behind the scenes
- Dexter owes his accent to the creator of the series, Genndy Tartakovsky. Tartakovsky once studied at the California Institute of the Arts and, at the request of his roommate Robert Renzetti (the animated series' director), would record answering machine messages with a deliberate French accent. Later, Tartakovsky and Renzetti took that same accent and added a bit of Russian and German to it.
