What's left behind the scenes
- The series was cancelled after the third season due to a conflict between the Norwegian TV channel NRK and the American company Netflix. The issue arose because the channel posted the third season on its website before the Americans did. Netflix was displeased by this due to the loss of audience members who preferred to watch the season for free on the Norwegian channel's website.
- In Frankie's office, the painting 'Judith and Holofernes' (1599) by Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio (1571-1610) hangs behind him.
- Throughout the first season, Johnny several times quotes lines from the romantic drama 'Casablanca' (Michael Curtiz, 1942). In the final episode of the season, he hires Jen with the words, 'Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship,' and then asks the pianist to play his favorite song.
