Short description
Lizzie McGuire is all about the ordinary and not-so-ordinary adventures of a junior high student and her two best friends as they try to deal with the ups and downs of school, popularity, boys, parents, a bratty little brother--just life in general. And if Lizzie leaves anything unsaid, you can bet that her cartoon alter ego will say it for her!

What's left behind the scenes
- Following the conclusion of the series, an idea for a spin-off titled 'Stevie Sanchez' emerged. It would have told the story of Lizzie's friend, Miranda, moving to Australia with her family, with Miranda's younger sister, Stevie, as the main character. Selena Gomez was intended for the role of Stevie. Screen tests were filmed (which can be found online), and even a pilot episode was shot, but that was where it ended.
- The producers were not very impressed with Hilary Duff's acting, and it was decided to hire a special coach to prompt her lines; however, it ended up with the coach prompting the lines for all the teenagers involved in the filming.
