What's left behind the scenes
- The series is set in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Actor Jamie Dornan, who plays the lead character, was born and raised in Belfast.
- The titles of all the episodes are borrowed from John Milton's (1608-1674) poem "Paradise Lost" (1667).
- At the very beginning of Season 2, Episode 4, when Agent Gibson (Gillian Anderson) sends a reproduction of a painting to be printed, it is clearly visible that no printer is installed on the computer except for the virtual Microsoft XPS Document Writer; nevertheless, she manages to print the image on paper.
