What's left behind the scenes
- Before filming began, Bobby Cannavale (who played Roberto) interned with paramedics for two months.
- In several early episodes, a Dalmatian named Mentut lived at the fire station, named after Randolph Mantooth, who played one of the paramedics in the series 'Emergency!' (1972-1979).
- In the 5th season, Molly Price (who played Faith Yokas) was largely absent because she was expecting a baby.
- Bobby Cannavale's character was not involved in the development of the storyline, and the actor requested to be written out of the project.
- The hundredth episode of the project consists of a series of continuous shots, each lasting 10 minutes.
- In many episodes, various items such as mugs and bags feature the inscription 'I Love New York,' where the word 'love' is replaced by a heart symbol. For example, the character played by actress Molly Price takes her sergeant's exam wearing a t-shirt with this inscription.
