What's left behind the scenes
- The Greater London Police is a fictional law enforcement agency created to avoid obtaining permission to use the name of the actual Metropolitan Police Service.
- Screenwriter Abi Morgan openly admits that she borrowed the idea for the series from Anthony Minghella's fantasy drama 'Truly, Madly, Deeply' (1990), in which the protagonist, played by Juliette Binoche, grieves the death of her loved one, only for his ghost to appear to her one day.
