What's left behind the scenes
- Adam Brooks (who served as director, writer, and producer on this project) and Uma Thurman have been friends since she was 17. When the series was approved, Thurman hosted a lunch to celebrate Brooks' new project. During the meal, he asked the actress if she would agree to star in the series. She agreed, and the character of Lenny Cohen was written specifically for Thurman.
