What's left behind the scenes
- While playing Camilla, actress Amy Adams specifically spoke in a low voice to avoid sounding like the drunken Giselle, her character from the fantasy musical film 'Enchanted' (Kevin Lima, 2007).
- As she leaves work, Camilla listens to Led Zeppelin on her smartphone. This band is extremely reluctant to grant permission for the use of their songs and demands huge copyright royalties.
- The miniseries was filmed in Barnesville, Georgia.
- Chris Messina and Amy Adams starred together in Nora Ephron's biographical film 'Julie & Julia' (2009). After filming, they remained friends, and it was Messina who suggested casting Adams in the role of Camilla.
- The mother's name, 'Adora,' comes from the Spanish word 'adorar,' meaning 'to adore' or 'to worship.' The daughter's name, 'Amma,' is phonetically similar to the Spanish word 'amor,' meaning 'love.'
- Sophia Lillis, who played the young Camilla Pricker, plays the young Beverly Marsh in Andrés Muschietti's horror film 'It.' Amy Adams, who played the adult Camilla, topped a fan-made preference poll for the role of adult Beverly Marsh, but the part ultimately went to Jessica Chastain.
- The words appearing on the objects shown on screen reflect Camilla's thoughts and feelings and echo the words she carved into her own body.
- The mini-series was filmed in 90 days.
- A film adaptation of the novel of the same name (2006) by Gillian Flynn.
- The title of each episode consists of words that Camilla carved into herself.
