But when his family begins to implode, Jeff finds no fairy tale or fable or puppet will guide him through this crisis, which advances faster than his means to cope. The result: a kind man in a cruel world faces a slow leak of sanity as hilarious as it is heartbreaking.

What's left behind the scenes
- While working on the pilot episode, screenwriter Dave Holstein envisioned only Jim Carrey in the lead role. Upon learning that Carrey was a producer on the project 'Kidding' (2017-2018), Holstein managed to get hired as a writer there to convince Carrey to star in his future project.
- Jim Carrey personally designed one of the puppets and stated that it represents giving children permission to make mistakes in life.
