What's left behind the scenes
- Director Adam McKay insisted on shooting the series on 35mm film rather than using modern digital equipment. He decided that this would give a more classic look to the saga about the old financial aristocracy.
- The first person to suggest making Logan Scottish (he was originally intended to be from Quebec) was Brian Cox, but the suggestion was rejected. Later, during the filming of the first season, he discovered that Logan had been made Scottish after all (specifically, a Scot from Dundee, Cox's own hometown).
- The role of Greg was initially intended for Kieran Culkin, but he felt he wasn't a great fit for the part and took the role of Roman instead, while the role of Greg went to Nicholas Braun.
