What's left behind the scenes
- Karen, Jen's neighbor, claims that if someone refuses to leave another person's home, it is legally permissible to shoot them. The series is set in California, where shooting under such circumstances was prohibited as of 2019.
- After filming, Christina Applegate was forced to see a psychotherapist.
- In early August 2008, it became known that Christina Applegate had breast cancer. The disease was diagnosed at an early stage, and the actress underwent a double mastectomy. The operation was successful, and her breasts were subsequently reconstructed. At the actress's insistence, it was written into the script that her character suffered from the same illness.
