Short description
Annie Easton is a fat young woman who wants to change her life — but not her body. She struggles to make it as a journalist while juggling bad boyfriends, sick parents, and a perfectionist boss, while the world around her deems her unsatisfactory due to her weight. Then, she realizes that she is just as good as anyone else and acts on it.

What's left behind the scenes
- Many scenes in which the main character finds herself in an awkward situation are drawn from the life of Aidy Bryant, one of the writers and the lead actress.
- Amanda Needham and her team had to create a significant portion of the costumes for the main character from scratch.
- The series ended after the third season by decision of the subscription streaming service Hulu. The show's creators were notified of the upcoming cancellation in the middle of filming the third season.
