What's left behind the scenes
- The main character, named Kiri, is the only blonde in the movie. This is a tribute to Alfred Hitchcock, whose films frequently featured blondes finding themselves in terrifying situations.
- The name of the fictional town Kurozu translates to 'dark water,' while 'kurozu' (which is phonetically very similar) translates to 'dark spiral.'
