What's left behind the scenes
- The Office of Scientific Research and Development shown in the series actually existed in several countries around the world, including the USA. Contrary to what viewers of the series saw, it was primarily concerned with environmental assessment and the analysis of scientific discoveries. The authors of the series were inspired by a small department within the organization that dealt with various anomalies.
