Too Many Beasts

Set in the French countryside, this upcoming comedy crime drama centers on a conflict between farmers and an exclusive hunting club over wild boars that destroy local crops. After a bankrupt farmer named Brun kills the club president and vanishes, a volatile police officer named Fulda is transferred to the region to lead the investigation a year later. While dealing with a recent breakup and an increasing boar population, Fulda struggles to maintain his sanity. He is joined by Stéphane, a police psychologist tasked with managing his chaotic approach to the case.

The film is directed by Sarah Arnold, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Olivier Séror and Jérémie Dubois. The cast features Alexis Manenti as Fulda, Ella Rumpf as Stéphane, and Vincent Dedienne as Victor, alongside Jean-Louis Coulloc'h, Pascal Rénéric, and Bertrand Belin. Produced by France 3 Cinéma, Pan-Européenne, Cinémage 20, and 5à7 Films, the project is a joint production between France and Germany. The movie has a runtime of 95 minutes and is scheduled for release on October 7, 2026.
