District B13

District B13 is a French action film set in a near-future Paris where the most dangerous housing projects have been walled off from the rest of the city and left to the control of violent gangs. When a powerful weapon falls into the hands of one of these gangs, an elite undercover police officer named Damien is sent into the sealed district to recover it. Because he does not know the area, he needs a local guide, and he finds one in Leïto, a resident with his own reasons for wanting to take down the gang leader Taha.

The film was directed by Pierre Morel and written by Luc Besson and Bibi Naceri, with Besson also producing. It was Morel's first feature as director, followed chronologically by Taken, From Paris with Love, The Gunman, Peppermint, The Ambush, Freelance and Canary Black. The cast is led by David Belle as Leïto and Cyril Raffaelli as Damien, with Tony D'Amario, Dany Verissimo-Petit, Bibi Naceri and Nicolas Woirion among the supporting roles. The production had a budget of 12 million USD and took in 10 million USD worldwide.
