Killer's Kiss

Killer's Kiss follows Davey Gordon, a New York boxer nearing the end of his career, who becomes involved with Gloria Price, a dancer working at the club run by Vincent Rapallo. When Rapallo, who wants Gloria for himself, turns violent, Davey steps in, and the two grow close. Their plan to leave the city is cut short when Rapallo has Gloria taken, forcing Davey to search for her while evading the men sent after him.

The film is Stanley Kubrick's second feature, released in 1955 between Fear and Desire and The Killing. He produced it with Morris Bousel and directed from a screenplay by Howard Sackler. Frank Silvera plays Rapallo, Jamie Smith plays Davy, and Irene Kane plays Gloria, with Jerry Jarrett and Felice Orlandi among the supporting cast. Shot in black and white on a modest budget, it blends crime drama and thriller elements in a brief sixty-eight-minute runtime.
