Windstruck is a South Korean romantic comedy-drama about a police officer named Yeo Kyung-jin, who mistakes a passer-by, Ko Myung-woo, for a bag-snatcher while chasing a real thief on her day off. Myung-woo, a high-school physics teacher, was in fact trying to stop the actual criminal. The mistaken arrest is only the start of their relationship. Proud and stubborn, Kyung-jin is slow to admit her error, but the two gradually grow close and begin living together. Her impulsive, clumsy streak repeatedly puts her in danger, and Myung-woo keeps worrying about her. Kwak Jae-yong directed, following My Sassy Girl and The Classic in his filmography, with Cyborg She and A Year-End Medley coming later. Jun Ji-hyun plays Kyung-jin and Jang Hyuk plays Myung-woo; the supporting cast includes Kim Jung-tae, Jung Ho-bin, Oh Jung-se and Kim Chang-wan, with 23 credited cast members in all. Producers were Bill Kong Chi-keung, Jeong Hoon-tak and Choi Su-yeong. The film was released in June 2004 and runs 123 minutes. It made 25 million US dollars worldwide. On IMDb it holds 7.1 out of 10 from around 8,000 votes, and on TMDB 7.1 out of 10 from 159 votes, so both audiences are broadly in agreement.
