Batman: The Long Halloween Deluxe Edition

Batman: The Long Halloween Deluxe Edition is an animated crime mystery set in Gotham City, where a serial killer strikes on holidays, leaving a trail of bodies and spreading fear through the city. Batman works alongside police captain James Gordon and district attorney Harvey Dent to track down the killer, while also facing the Falcone crime family's hold on the city and a gathering of familiar villains. The story follows their investigation as the murders continue and pressure mounts from both organized crime and the killer's taunts.

The film is directed by Chris Palmer, whose earlier animated work includes Superman: Man of Tomorrow and the two-part Batman: The Long Halloween, released in 2021. This 2022 edition combines those two parts into a single 168-minute presentation. Tim Sheridan wrote the screenplay, with Jim Krieg and Kimberly S. Moreau producing for DC Entertainment, DC Comics and Warner Bros. Animation. The voice cast includes Jensen Ackles as Bruce Wayne and Batman, Josh Duhamel as Harvey Dent, Naya Rivera as Selina Kyle and Catwoman, Billy Burke as James Gordon, Titus Welliver as Carmine Falcone and Troy Baker as the Joker.

Released in September 2022, the film holds a 7.5 rating on IMDb from roughly 3,900 votes and a 7.1 on TMDB from a smaller base of 54 votes. The much larger IMDb sample points to a generally favorable response, with the two scores reasonably close.
