Critters 2

Two years after the Brown family farm was destroyed, the residents of Grovers Bend have largely put the earlier terror out of their minds. That changes at Easter, when eggs left behind by the creatures are mistaken for Easter eggs and hatch into a new generation of hungry aliens. Brad Brown, now a young man, is back in town visiting his grandmother when the outbreak begins, and he joins forces with the shape-shifting space bounty hunters and Charlie McFadden, who survived the first attack, to stop the creatures again.

Critters 2 was directed by Mick Garris, who wrote the screenplay with David Twohy and produced with Barry Opper. It is the second of the ten films Garris directed, arriving between Fuzzbucket and Psycho IV: The Beginning. Scott Grimes returns as Brad Brown, with Liane Curtis, Don Keith Opper, Barry Corbin, Tom Hodges and Sam Anderson among the cast of twenty-four credited performers. The production, from New Line Cinema and Sho Films, cost about 5 million dollars and took roughly 4 million dollars worldwide.

On IMDb, the film holds a rating of 5.6 from around 18,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.2 from 543 votes. A critics' rating of 4.2 from thirteen reviews places it below both audience scores.
