A Missing Part

A taxi driver in Tokyo spends his days searching for his daughter, Lily, whom he has not seen since separating from his wife nine years earlier. Unable to secure custody and having lost hope, Jay prepares to return to France. However, just as he is about to leave, Lily enters his cab, though she does not recognize her father.

This comedy-drama was directed by Guillaume Senez, following his 2015 film Keeper. Senez also co-wrote the screenplay with Jean Denizot. The movie features Romain Duris in the lead role as Jay, with Mei Cirne-Masuki playing Lily. The supporting cast includes Judith Chemla, Tsuyu Shimizu, Shungicu Uchida, and Yumi Narita. Produced by companies including France 2 Cinéma and Versus Production, the film is a joint effort between Belgium, France, and Japan.
