Short description

- Production of the film began on March 5, 2016, and concluded on September 24, 2024. Filming took place from October 2018 through the end of 2019 in Chongqing, Beijing, Baiyin, Huizhou, Chengdu, Quanzhou, the Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, the Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, and the Kuẓupchi Desert.
- Due to financial difficulties in late 2018, Western specialists left the production crew while filming was already underway, though cinematographer David Tattersall remained to help free of charge.
