Dobermann

Dobermann is a French action crime film about a gang of robbers led by Yann Le Pentrec, known as Dobermann, whose taste for weapons began with a gun given to him at his christening. Now he and his crew carry out a string of bank raids and armored-van robberies. Their gang includes his partner Nathalie, an explosives specialist, and several volatile and heavily armed accomplices. Pursuing them is Inspector Sauveur Cristini, a corrupt and brutal policeman who treats their capture as a personal mission and is willing to go far beyond the law to end their run.

The film was directed by Jan Kounen, released in 1997 as the second feature in his directing career after Capitaine X, and written by Joël Houssin. Vincent Cassel plays Dobermann, Tchéky Karyo plays Cristini, and Monica Bellucci plays Nathalie. The cast of twenty credited performers also includes Romain Duris.
