Snack Shack
Short description
Set in Nebraska City during the summer of 1991, this comedy drama follows two best friends, AJ and Moose, who attempt to find financial success. After several failed business ventures, including selling home-brewed beer, the teenagers take over the snack bar at a local swimming pool. Their ambitions and their bond are tested when AJ falls for Brooke, a cool lifeguard working at the facility.
The film was written and directed by Adam Rehmeier, marking his second feature following Dinner in America and preceding Carolina Caroline. The movie stars Conor Sherry as AJ, Gabriel LaBelle as Moose, and Mika Abdalla as Brooke, with supporting roles played by Nick Robinson and David Costabile. Produced by MRC, T-Street Productions, and Paperclip, the project was made with a budget of 3 million USD.
